Woztell is a messaging platform and an official WhatsApp Business API provider (BSP): it brings together WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and web chat in a single dashboard with unlimited chatbots and agents. It costs between $0 and $599 per month; paid plans require a deposit to cover Meta usage. It integrates with multiple users, multiple channels, or Zoho.

A quick clarification before we begin. At Reinicia, we work with Woztell: we’re a partner of the platform and implement it in client projects, just as we do with other WhatsApp Business API platforms. That’s why this analysis draws exclusively on official sources from Woztell and Meta, and devotes equal attention to both when it’s worthwhile and when it isn’t.

Table of Contents: Woztell—What It Is and How Much It Costs

When you open Woztell’s pricing page, four terms appear at once: subscription, deposit, MAU, and surcharge. None of these are complicated on their own, but together they make it hard to figure out how much you’ll end up paying. This analysis breaks it down using information from Woztell’s official website, help center, and documentation, as of October 15, 2026.

What exactly is Woztell?

Woztell is a cloud-based platform that lets you serve your customers via WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, and your website’s chat feature—all from one place. It combines a shared inbox for your team, a chatbot builder, and the ability to send templates and campaigns.

It is a Meta Business Partner and WhatsApp Business Solution Provider (BSP): a provider authorized by Meta to grant API access to other companies. If you need a refresher on how it differs from the free app, we explain it in our article on what the WhatsApp Business API is. Woztell acts as an intermediary between Meta, which sets the rate for each message, and your tools, such as your CRM.

  • It’s not a program you download. It runs in your browser; you can install its tray icon as a web app on your phone or computer.
  • It’s not a CRM. It stores contacts, tags, and notes, but the sales record is stored in your CRM.
  • It doesn’t replace Meta’s pricing. It charges you for it, with its markup, from a prepaid balance.

Woztell acts as an intermediary: it receives messages via Meta, distributes them to your team, and connects them to your CRM.

How Woztell’s Pricing Model Works

Fixed cost + variable cost: two bills, not one

Woztell charges in two ways. The plan subscription—monthly or annual—has a fixed price. And there’s a prepaid deposit from which variable costs are deducted: WhatsApp templates and messages, calls, and active users beyond the included allowance.

The deposit is replenished only when the balance falls below 40%, for the initial amount. Their own website gives the following example: The Growth plan costs a $99 subscription fee plus a $100 deposit, for a total of $199 on the first day. If a payment fails, you continue working until the balance is depleted; after that, the account is blocked.

Overview of Woztell’s two billing methods: the plan subscription and the credit balance that covers Meta messages, extra MAUs, and calls
The subscription fee is fixed; the credit is used up as you go and is automatically recharged when it falls below 40%.

Woztell’s Plans

Here are the five plans listed on their pricing page, in dollars and excluding taxes. Woztell notes that prices may vary by region (USD or EUR).

Free$0$0No100Does not support0%

Agency$399$359$400UnlimitedNot applicable20 %
Scale Up$599$499$600UnlimitedNot applicable20 %

All plans, including the Free plan, include unlimited chatbots, agents, and WhatsApp numbers, as well as all integrations at no extra cost. What differs between them is the service:

  • Free and Starter: one channel type and email support; Starter adds account setup.
  • Growth: Unlimited channels, email and WhatsApp support, and onboarding.
  • Agency and Scale Up: Unlimited MAUs and a dedicated success consultant. Scale Up also includes advanced development, business verification managed by Woztell, and WhatsApp groups (once the official account is approved).

Be careful with the “save up to 20%” claim for annual payment: it’s 20.4% for the Starter plan, but 10% for Growth and Agency, and 16.7% for Scale Up. If you cancel early, you’ll be charged for the months used at the monthly rate. Custom projects are ordered separately, with no published price.

MAU—the metric that confuses everyone

MAU (monthly active users) refers to active users for the month: anyone who interacts at least once with one of your channels, whether by posting, uploading a file, or clicking a button. The counter resets on the 1st. Three factors affect the count:

  • Unanswered messages don’t count. If you send 10,000 reminders and no one responds, you don’t generate MAU.
  • Each channel counts separately. Someone who messages you on WhatsApp and Instagram counts as two MAUs, just as if they contacted you via two different phone numbers.
  • When you exceed your limit, you either pay or stop. On the Starter and Growth plans, each additional MAU costs $0.08 from your balance: 500 extra MAUs cost $40. On the Free plan, you can’t purchase additional MAUs, and according to their documentation, once you reach the limit, you can’t send messages.

The comparison table also shows a limit on “active users” (1,000 for Free, 10,000 for Starter, 100,000 for Growth) that the page does not define. If you have a large contact list, ask which one applies to you.

Meta’s Pricing vs. Woztell’s Pricing

Meta charges for each message based on its category and the recipient’s country, and as of October 1, 2026, it will also charge for service responses. The rates for Spain are included in the analysis of the WhatsApp Business API price changes. What matters here is who sets each rate:

WhatsApp callsMeta: Free if the customer calls; charged per minute if the company callsDeposit

Source: Woztell pricing page and Help Center, accessed October 15, 2026.

The 20% is listed in the comparison table on its pricing page (the “Pay per use” row) and applies to all message categories: a note on its calculator indicates that the rates include Woztell’s surcharge, and their own example charges $0.030 for marketing templates sent to the United States, which Meta charges $0.025 for. That’s why the rates Woztell publishes in its WhatsApp pricing guide don’t match Meta’s official chart: they already include the surcharge.

How to calculate what you’ll actually pay

Monthly cost = subscription + (extra MAU × $0.08) + Meta usage × 1.20

Here’s an example: A fictional fitness studio in Valencia, with a monthly Growth plan, provides customer service via WhatsApp and Instagram. In one month, 1,100 people message them on WhatsApp and 300 on Instagram: 1,400 MAU. Via WhatsApp, it sends 1,500 helpful reminders, 400 marketing templates, and 2,800 customer service responses, 1,000 of which are free.

Extra MAU400 × $0.08$32

Total deducted from the deposit93.82
Illustrative example, excluding VAT, using Meta’s rates for Spain. We do not add the two amounts together because Woztell’s prices are in dollars and Meta’s rates are in euros.

The 300 Instagram users count toward the MAU, but not toward the WhatsApp rate. The Starter plan would cost $129 for the same volume, but according to its details, it supports only one type of channel. The chart shows where the cheapest plan changes:

Chart showing Woztell’s monthly cost without Meta based on MAU: Starter and Growth increase by $0.08 per MAU, while Agency remains at $399
Starting at 1,000 MAU, the Starter and Growth plans cost about the same; above 4,750 MAU, the Agency plan is cheaper than the Growth plan.

Two thresholds: starting at 1,000 MAU, the Starter plan saves only $2 compared to the Growth plan, and above 4,750 MAU, the Agency plan is cheaper than the Growth plan when you have excess MAUs (4,375 MAU on an annual payment plan). Integrations: Where It Really Fits In

Woztell and Zoho CRM

Woztell has an extension for Zoho CRM that can be installed from the Zoho Marketplace. With this extension, WhatsApp becomes part of the Customer record: you can create leads or contacts from conversations, start a conversation directly from the record by selecting a phone number and template, view WhatsApp unsubscribes, and save the conversation history—which you can link to any module that has a phone number field.

Three requirements to consider before making a decision. It requires a version of Zoho CRM with custom modules, code, and workflows: its FAQ specifies the Enterprise edition (included in Zoho One and CRM Plus), and the Zoho Marketplace listing adds the Ultimate edition. To handle support, you can choose between the Woztell inbox within CRM or Zoho Cliq (the paid version, according to its FAQ). And it integrates with either Zoho CRM or Zoho Desk, not both: switching costs $99.

If you’re looking for ways to bridge the two worlds, we’ll walk you through how to integrate WhatsApp Business with Zoho CRM.

With the extension, conversations and template sending are all handled within the contact card.

App marketplace and API integration

Within Woztell, integrations are installed from its own Marketplace. Its website lists Stripe, PayPal, Dialogflow, Zapier, Make, n8n, and Zoho Flow. With a connector, you can trigger a template when something happens in your online store—such as in campaigns to recover abandoned carts via WhatsApp. For custom development, its API is based on GraphQL, not REST: anyone programming with it will need to be familiar with GraphQL.

What he does well

  • There are no charges per agent or per chatbot. Adding people to the team or automations does not increase the fee. To see what you can automate, check out these chatbot use cases for WhatsApp Business.
  • Multichannel in a single inbox, with automatic sorting by shifts, folders, labels, and notes.
  • Interactive WhatsApp formats: buttons, lists, catalogs, WhatsApp Flows, and carousels, plus payments via PayPal and Stripe.
  • AI without a payment module. Integration with ChatGPT is included and uses your OpenAI key, so you pay OpenAI for the tokens. We explain how that cost is broken down in the section on how much the AI costs on the WhatsApp Business API.
  • The MAU favors those who send a lot of notifications, because unanswered templates don’t count.
  • Zoho ecosystem implemented: extensions for Zoho CRM and Zoho Desk, an inbox in Zoho Cliq, and integration with Zoho Flow.

Where It Falls Short

None of these points rules out Woztell on its own, and for each one, there are cases where it doesn’t matter:

  • Two bills and an unusual billing unit. The subscription fee, deposit, surcharge, and MAU per channel make it difficult to compare this to providers that charge only per message. It doesn’t matter if you do the math using your data from the last three months.
  • The documentation isn’t always consistent. The pricing page says the deposit is replenished when it drops below 40%, while the help center says it’s replenished when 90% is used; the Free and Starter plan descriptions say “1 channel type,” but the comparison chart lists unlimited channels. It doesn’t matter if you request the terms in writing.
  • Strict cancellation policy. You must cancel 7 days before renewal; unused credit is non-refundable, and a canceled account cannot be reactivated. This is no longer an issue if you sign up for monthly billing.
  • The chatbot builder requires a methodical approach. Workflows are built node by node using forms; the basic ones don’t require any coding, but some advanced steps require pasting snippets of JavaScript. It’s no big deal if you use parts of its templates or have someone with technical expertise nearby.
  • Few public reviews. On Trustpilot, it has a rating of 3.4 out of 5 based on 17 reviews (53% five-star and 47% one-star), with only 3 reviews in the last year: a small and polarized sample. It doesn’t matter if you ask for references from companies in your industry.

Who Woztell Is For—and Who It Isn’t

It’s worth it if…

  • you use a compatible edition of Zoho CRM or Zoho Desk;
  • Several people answer the same number, as we explained in the section on customer service using the WhatsApp Business API;
  • Do you want to automate without developing against Meta’s API?
  • you provide customer service through more than one channel or your team is set to grow;
  • you send a lot of notifications but few people respond.

It’s not worth it if…

  • If you have few conversations and only one person is responding, the free app is all you need;
  • you just want a WhatsApp button on your website;
  • you have a technical team and prefer to connect to Meta’s Cloud API without an intermediary fee;
  • you communicate with many people across multiple channels and have a small margin—between 1,000 and 4,750 MAU—and every person who responds counts;
  • you need WhatsApp integrated with both Zoho CRM and Zoho Desk.

If you’re comparing platforms, we’ve analyzed Spoki and Blip using the same criteria.

So, when is Woztell worth it?

When the value lies in the team and automation, not in message volume: multiple people, multiple channels, chatbots, and a Zoho CRM or Zoho Desk that you want to connect without in-house development. In that case, not paying per agent outweighs the surcharge on Meta. It’s less worthwhile when you’re talking to a lot of people across multiple channels with a small margin.

In any case, run the numbers based on your data, request a written breakdown, and start with a monthly plan. If you’d like help with this, at Reinicia we’ll review your volumes, channels, and CRM integration with you before you choose a platform.

Preguntas frecuentes
